The Impact

Access to proper AD is essential for the realization of targets within all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – therefore it is not possible to ignore this health, development and social issue.⁴ By ensuring that an appropriate wheelchair gets to every disabled child, our project facilitates achievement of such global commitments as universal health coverage, principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and SDGs in sub-Saharan Africa. We have an ambitious goal of allowing every child with disability to enjoy their fundamental human rights, freedoms and full inclusion within sub-Saharan African societies.

Mishek, 9 years old, undiagnosed. He is not able to move on his own, spends most days on the floor inside the hut or on the ground outside with little supervision by parents who need to work or search for food to feed him and his siblings. He does not attend school.
